Once you arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport, you will meet a representative from “Travel Nexus” who chauffeurs the entire tour.
Then our tour guide will drive you to your first destination, the ancient city of Anuradhapura the 1st capital of early Ceylon. The rest of the day you can visit the well-preserved remnants of ancient Sri Lankan history including palaces, Dagabos, monasteries and the temple of the sacred Bo-tree.
At the end of the day, you will spend the overnight in a hotel in Anuradhapura.
After having breakfast, you will check out from the hotel to reach the ancient city of Polonnaruwa, another capital of early Ceylon during the prosperous medieval kingdom. Here you will see the ancient ruins and excavations of temples, royal palaces, museums…etc. which demonstrate great Sri Lankan architecture.
Afterwards, you will leave Polonnaruwa to head towards Habarana where you can enjoy a game-drive in an open-sided safari vehicle.
Then you will spend the night in a hotel in Habarana.
On this day, firstly you will check out from the hotel after breakfast, and then you will be driven towards Sigiriya rock fortress, one of Sri Lanka’s most fascinating UNESCO world heritage sites. Here, you will get the chance to climb to the summit of the rock fortress built by the maverick Sinhalese King, Kasyapa, to enjoy the spectacular view.
Then you will have another hike to the Pidurangala rock, which has a cave temple that was first used as a Buddhist monastery. It is believed to date back to the reign of King Kasyapa before the first and second centuries. Once you get to the top of this rock, you will enjoy the magnificent view of the surrounding area and Sigiriya.
At the end of the day, you will be staying the night in a hotel in Sigiriya.
After having an early breakfast from the hotel, you will checkout from it to proceed to Dambulla where the Golden Rock Temple is situated. This is the famous cave temple in Dambulla which has a rock ceiling with a sweep of colorful frescos that depict Buddhist mythology and tales of previous incarnations of the Lord Buddha.
Then you will leave Dambulla to reach Kandy via Matale and on your way, you can visit some spice gardens too. Once you reach Kandy, you will have an entertaining evening when you can enjoy a dazzling Sri Lankan Cultural show.
On this day you will spend the night in a hotel in Kandy.
After having breakfast from the hotel, you will visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic (Sri Dalanda Maligawa). Then you can have a city tour in Kandy and spend some time doing shopping. Here, you will also get the chance to visit a gem museum.
Then you will leave Kandy to travel deeper into the tea-growing hill country of Nuwara Eliya where you can enjoy the picturesque view of green mountains. On your way there, you will get the chance to visit a Tea Factory from where popular Sri Lankan Tea is made.
In Nuwara Eliya, you will stay overnight in a hotel.
After breakfast from the hotel, you will explore the “Little England”, the city of Nuwara Eliya, by having a nice walk around the streets and you can also visit the Hakgala Botanical Garden which houses an exotic collection of roses and ferns.
You will spend the rest of this day at your leisure and will spend the night in the same hotel in Nuwara Eliya.
This will be the day when you will proceed to Galle via Ella, after having breakfast and checking out from the hotel in Nuwara Eliya. The enroute includes the visit of Nine Arch Bridge in Ella and Rawana waterfalls.
In the evening you will have a tour in Galle fort and then you will be checked into one of the beach resorts which is situated in the western stretch of beaches in Sri Lanka where, you will spend the night.
After having an early breakfast from the hotel, you will be taken to attend in an exciting water activity in the southwest coast of Sri Lanka, Whale watching. If you are lucky, you will be able to see the blue whales and dolphins during your watching tour. In the afternoon you will get the chance to go for a “Madu Ganga” boat safari. “Madu Ganga” is a large freshwater lake and a mangrove swamp in Sri Lanka which is a natural habitat for many plant species, animal species and bird species. Due to its rich biodiversity, you will enjoy this scenic boat ride. Then you will spend the night at the beach resort.
On this day, you will be driven towards Bentota where you can have the joy of engaging in some water sports upon your choice such as water skiing, snorkeling, diving, jet skiing, kite surfing…etc.
Afterwards, you will be checked into another beach resort in Bentota where you can spend a relaxing afternoon, having a soothing body treatment from the Ayurvedic Centre in the resort. Then you will spend the evening at your leisure and spend the night there.
This day will be the end of your whole tour, on which you will be safely driven back to the Airport, after having breakfast and checking out of the resort.
